Dr. Prasad Gobburi is a bioanalytical scientist with eight years of expertise in regulated bioanalysis, mass spectrometry, supporting pharmaceutical and biotechnology drug development programs.
In his current role as Senior Scientist at Moderna Therapeutics, Dr. Gobburi serves as Bioanalytical Prinicipal Investigator for regulated clinical bioanalysis. His work focuses on developing, validating ans sample analysis of LC-MS methods for the quantitation of biomolecules including lipids, peptides, biomarkers. Dr. Gobburi collaborates with translational, biomarker leads and clinical pharmacology teams to support all PK/PD across multiple Moderna vaccine and therapeutic clinical programs. He also serves as a subject matter expert in mass spectrometry and mentors junior scientists within the organization.
Prior to joining Moderna, Dr. Gobburi held scientific and leadership roles at Rani Therapeutics and Covance by Labcorp. During these roles, he specialized in GLP/GCLP bioanalytical method development, validation, and sample analysis for biologics and small molecules. He provides scientific and regulatory oversight for external CROs, supports pharmacokinetic and toxicokinetic evaluations, and collaborates closely with cross-functional teams across clinical development, nonclinical research, and platform sciences.
Dr. Gobburi earned his Ph.D. in Clinical/Bioanalytical Chemistry from Cleveland State University and has received multiple awards recognizing excellence in research, teaching, and bioanalytical method development.
