Principal Scientist
BMS
Saisi Xue, PhD is a Principal Scientist and Drug Product Development (DPD) Analytical Lead at Bristol Myers Squibb (BMS). She leads analytical strategy for small and large molecule programs, supporting development from early-stage through late-stage readiness to enable key clinical and program decisions.
Her work focuses on applying analytical science and data-driven approaches to inform development strategies, including the use of modeling and automation tools to improve technical operation efficiencies and data interpretation. She collaborates closely with cross-functional teams across formulation, manufacturing, CMC, regulatory, quality and external partners. She also drives digital innovation by applying GenAI and vibe-coding approaches to build agent applications, streamline workflows, and enables enterprise AI adoption through use-case development and functional enablement.
Prior to BMS, Saisi worked at Novelstar Pharmaceuticals as an SME leading analytical R&D for seven complex 505(b)(2) and ANDA programs, including GMP validation, PK modeling, CMC filings, and externalization with partners. She began her career in CMC at Frontage Laboratories, leading method development, validation, and troubleshooting for drug substance and product testing, and supporting cGMP release, stability, and analytical documentation.
Saisi received her Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Michigan State University.
