Hemanth Akkiraju, Ph.D., is Director of LC-MS Biologics Assay Development at IQVIA Laboratories, where he leads global bioanalytical strategy and execution supporting preclinical and clinical development programs. He oversees a multidisciplinary organization of Ph.D. and Non-Ph.D. scientists responsible for method development, validation, and regulated sample analysis, delivering high-quality PK/PD and clinical biomarker data across a broad range of therapeutic modalities.
In his current role, Dr. Akkiraju focuses on advancing scalable and innovative bioanalytical solutions, including the development of high-throughput workflows for biologics, oligonucleotides, peptides, and emerging modalities such as antibody-oligonucleotide conjugates (AOCs), etc.. He serves as a subject matter expert in LC-MS and regulated bioanalysis, providing scientific and regulatory oversight across method development, validation, and compliant sample analysis..
Dr. Akkiraju brings a strong foundation spanning preclinical drug discovery through clinical development, including experience in target identification and validation, hit-to-lead progression, lead optimization, and translational biomarker strategies.
